En Tu Maleta focuses on the best restaurants this includes the finest steak houses in the world to the most authentic Mexican food restaurants where you might be afraid to drink the water. Each city we are in will showcase a new series of restaurants as we dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner nightly. Currently our favorites include the following:
Sushi - Nobu - This restaurant lives up to the hype with exceptional food, which showcases the very best sushi and other distinct dishes like the succulent black cod in miso. The New York Next Door Nobu also offers a no reservations option, has much later hours and a truly exceptional raw bar. The two negatives of Nobu are that it is very pricey and reservations can be very difficult to get. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's menu is unique and innovative with the black cod specialty, lobster with wasabi pepper sauce and the freshest sushi served. Eating at Nobu is truly an experience that anyone who appreciate good food will enjoy. Lastly, Nobu earned three stars with honors from the New York Times and was unanimously voted in the NYC Zagat survery as the Top Japanese Cuisine.
Steakhouse - Mastros - Fresh seafood and prime cut steaks are the stars of Mastros, however everything on the menu is truly exceptional. For those that enjoy starters, there are plenty to choose from including fresh seafood such as oysters, crab and lobster to fresh salads including a caprese, Caeser and wedge salad. Each of the portions is relatively large which is definitely something to consider before ordering your entree. For the main course, the seafood and steak selections are truly out of this world. If you are a steak fan, we highly recommend the bone in filet medium rare. Have the chef slice it and get a double rub for a little more flavor. The cuts are always extremely tender and melt in your mouth. For your side, try the lobster mash potatoes if you are not counting your calories this evening or the baked potato if you are. Lastly, try the asparagus or creamed corn depending on the caloria counting again. You will be impressed by everything. End your meal with their signature warm butter cake. Food and ambiance will have you returning to Mastros for more.
Italian - Dan Tana's -A favorite for many people including celebrities alike Dan Tana's provides some of the best Italian fare in the United States. Nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills, it is often difficult to get a seat at the popular restaurant. When you do, locals often recommend sitting on the bar side for the best view of the scene. The service is exceptional and the food is unmatched. We recommend the Chicken Parmigiana with a Caesar Salad to start. Everything is homemade and extremely fresh. It can get a bit noisy in the dining room however but many attribute this to the crowd eager to dine on fantastic food. Try Dan Tana's as soon as you are in Los Angeles.
